Yormark graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana / Champaign. While in school, Yormark provided ESPN Gameday Radio with Illini football updates, calling into Mel Kiper Jr’s national audience. Yormark also had the unique opportunity to interview sport’s biggest stars working as a reporter and voice data gather at SRN Broadcasting. Yormark’s main job function was to attend Chicago Bulls, Bears, Cubs, and White Sox games and practices to obtain quotes from the day’s top stories. His professionalism and dedication earned him the right to cover the 2000 NBA Finals in Los Angeles.
In the May of 2001 Yormark accepted a commercial real estate brokerage position at Inland Real Estate Sales, Inc. in Oak Brook, Illinois. In Mid-2002 his successes as a broker lead him to be recruited to help build a new auction division with Inland Real Estate Auctions, Inc.
In 2003, Yormark pursued his entrepreneurial dream and partnered with a friend forming BOS Distilling Company. As Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer, Yormark was involved in every aspect of the business. In just ten months, BOS distilling successfully produced, marketed, sold, and distributed two new proprietary liqueurs to the Chicagoland marketplace securing over 300 placements. After signing an Illinois distribution agreement with the largest liquor distributor in the nation, Yormark brought BOS Distilling’s products to Ohio and Alabama.
In early 2005 the Chicago Tribune approached Yormark to write a monthly column for the Q Section, GUY Page. His column, “The Love Sherpa”, received tremendous immediate response and was WGN’s Kathy and Judy’s call in question of the day on their morning radio show. For Christmas 2005, Yormark orchestrated the largest single’s event in Chicago to benefit Chicago Tribune Charities. Chicago Bulls player Chris Duhon and Bears Pro-Bowler Jerry Azumah helped “The Love Sherpa” raffle off jewelry to attendees.
In December of 2005, Yormark was recruited by Dan Martin, CCIM, to join his retail team of Sperry Van Ness in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
In just over two years Yormark was awarded the prestigious “Parnter’s Circle” award for his closings earning him the recognition of the #13 top broker in the national company of over 960 advisors. The prestigious organization of CoStar recognized Yormark as a “Power Broker”.
Today, Yormark holds the top closing in the 30 plus year history of Sperry Van Ness with a 1325 unit multifamily complex in Oklahoma City that fetched over $132 million. Yormark continues to be one of Sperry Van Ness’ top brokers with career closings of approximately $300 million.
Yormark’s hobbies include attending sporting events, investing in the stock market, golf, fishing, and an addition to travel. Some of Yormark’s more interesting numerous places of visit include China, Dubai, Europe, Carribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska.
